Winnie the Witch asked Year 1 to help her fix her broken broomstick. We decided to make a ‘broom fixing’ potion and added a little bit of our own magic. After that we wrote down the potion recipe for Winnie to try.

It was lovely to see you enjoying Miss Kelsalls lesson where she made Winnie the witches magic potion especially when it started to bubble up in the witches cauldron. You loved all the disgusting gruesome ingredients too, after that you all tried really hard to write about how the magic potion was made. Well done Y1 I’m so proud of you all.

We wrote a about the magic potion and it was fun.
Sounds like a lot of fun! I’m intrigued about the gruesome ingredients.
The potion was fantastic! My favourites were fairy dust, princess tears and magic snow flakes.
I liked the princess tears, magic snowflakes, the frog burp and I liked the fairy dust.
I liked the pink slime, it was very messy and lots of fun.
