In Y3 we are writing non chronological reports about mythical sea creatures. We have drawn our creatures and labelled them with a description of their features. Watch this space for our final reports. We are also planning to paint them using the pointillism technique.
Y3 have been practising their dribbling and passing in case we end up against Y6 in the KS2 basketball tournament final, they are slightly bigger than us!
Year 3 enjoyed using paint and cotton buds to create a colour wheel using the pointillism technique. Seurat didn’t mix colours, he used dots of different colours which our eyes merge together. This is called optical mixing.
The children have been learning about the work of Georges Seurat who used a technique called pointillism to paint pictures. This week we used a pointillism graphics package to paint digital pictures. They turned out great!
This term we will be learning to programme in Scratch. If the children would like to practise at home, it can be downloaded for free at scratch.mit.edu.
