Y3 had a fantastic morning at a STEM workshop at BAe Systems in Samlesbury.  They had to use Maths to decode some secret messages and had to create an algorithm to guide a member of their team blindfolded around some obstacles.  Fantastic teamwork Y3!

Y3 enjoyed making their own world in Kodu.  Next we will be programming a kodu to move around our world.  You can download Kodu for free from www.kodugamelab.com.

As we move into a new year and a new school term, Mrs Robertson and I would like to say thank you to all the children for the fantastic attitude they have shown in Y3 so far.  They have all worked so hard and shown excellent perseverance.  Keep up the good work Y3!

Y3 did a fabulous job singing and playing the instruments in the Y3/4 Christmas production.  I am very proud of all of them!

In Science, Y3 have been learning about reflections.  They enjoyed using the mirror to create some funny pictures.

whilst learning about how shadows are formed, Y3 had great fun using the torches to create shapes on the walls of the classroom.
